Loved it. Great flick. I think it revived the franchise.
I love that they brought the DB5 back & like the new Q too.
Craig is now a close 2nd to Connery.

He is too buff for Bond, but not in Skyfall. On par I would say.
Connery is gonna be tough to beat.

I like him, although the permanent Blue Steel does kinda crack me up.

This wasn't as good as his Casino Royale (which also suffered from a weak, trying-too-hard ending) but was way better than Quantum of Solace. All the stuff with Craig is better than anything that came between Octopussy and his first. Pierce Brosnan wasn't a bad Bond at all but the movies themselves kinda sucked.

Edit: I have heard several people refer to the ending as "Home Alone," which made me laugh as well.

It was a good flick. I sunk in my seat while my wife sang the Adele song at the top of her lungs...

Casino Royale revived the franchise. Skyfall killed it by going back in time to Moore times. It's also uber derivative of The Dark Knight and Bourne films.

It's a stupid mashup of all you like in movies cooked so you will enjoy it but it's very ham fisted, with a spineless script and overall a lazy cop out. It may be enjoyable but as a film it's as close to plagiarism you can get without getting sued.

and Daniel Craig has signed on for two more films.
o rly? good news!

saw it last night at the Imax theater. i thought it was pretty good but was hoping Bardem would be even more of a villain then he was and there was a bit more action. what action there was, was pretty damn good i thought. Craig quickly became my favorite Bond after his first movie. 2014 cant come soon enough for another Bond film

Roger Moore made Bond almost a cartoon character. He was the Bond of the day when I was growing up. So I automatically associate him with the franchise. But Craig is certainly the most bad-ass Bond.

(and he was pretty good on SNL.....watching a believable Jersey accent come out of his face was a little surreal)

Are the books written as cheesy as the old movies were? I mean it's hard to criticize a movie with gadgets and evil sluts when the books are written that way.

I think casino royale worked because it was believable, but james bond is always going to be the guy with the lazer watch who kills the guy with the platinum dipped bollocks...

I liked it a lot. But was it a true bond film? I dont know really, i'm far from being a bond aficionado. I feel like if the future bonds are more like that, then the series could be ruined. Also, I dont know if I completely understand the timeline and the succession of the films. I know casino royale is the first, but where does skyfall come in? As far as I can tell it was not a book.

The DB-5 was awesome, truly made the movie from me. Once he stepped into it, everything was great to the end. The cinematography I thought was amazing too, definitely worth seeing on the big screen.

I dont know if I liked it as much as casino royale. but way, way better than quantum of solace.

It's already made over half a billion dollars, has received critical acclaim, and Daniel Craig has signed on for two more films. Hard to say the franchise has been killed.
Artisticly it was. Commercially it was a success.

btw. What's good about bringing the db5 and q back? It's a cheap trick to gain some nostalgia. Same for the lizard hopping and a few other small winks to the fans. Why not create a new memorable car or a new memorable character instead of rehashing old cliches?

Actually Heineken Beer revived the franchise by dumping a bunch of money into it in exchange for Bond now only drinking Heineken.

Wtf, no love for George Lazenby? He's the ONLY Bond who's ever been married......

The four Bonds, listed in order of greatness:
1. Connery
2. Lazenby
3. Craig
4. Moore

There were no others. There were no Bond films between 1985 and 2006. Period.

I liked the db-5 just because I think its one of the best looking cars out there. I thought it was just amazing seeing it drive through the Scottish country side from a cinematography standpoint.

I would like to see a new, special bond car. I really would like to see the a Noble in there. If they try and stick british I dont know what else they could do? a Morgan? Bentley SuperSport? Jaguar hybrid supercar?(could be kind of neat). Aston's are boring now. If they loose the British thing I could see an Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione being awesome.

Edit: Maybe a Lotus?

hes pretty much used everything from a Alfas, Aston Martins, Bimmers, Lotus to a Bel Air, the first Bond car in a movie
