I have no idea where I am
Getting an Uber this morning back to the trail where I got off. Going to hike back to the same hotel I have been in. Only taking the bare essentials hence the term Slackpacking. Then tomorrow I just walk out of the hotel and down the street to the trail.

Hi friends
Got a new computer yesterday which is nice because my old one was like 10 years old. Getting hard to play any games on it at this point. Old one may become a Roblox machine for the kids.

Hoping to get a ride in today as there’s nothing else on the agenda

This is the nicest morning we've had in what feels like months. I've got a 5 mile race to run starting in less than an hour. I'll try not to fuck it up. I've already noticed a couple of my familiar competitors jogging around for a warm up. I'ma kick their ass.

Single speed got all dressed up yesterday and I reorganized the garage so that I could store my toolbox since I don't need that at work anymore. Couldn't find the freewheel tool or the freewheel I've had hanging out for years so the old one stayed on the single speed and of course it now creaks horribly with the new chain, so I guess I'll take it to the LBS and have them replace the freewheel. I assume the missing tool and part are just misplaced from the move. Hopefully they will turn up one day.

Firewood splitting, bike ride, putting up a new gate on the road and then making marinated grilled porkbelly for seven. At least that is the plan…should probably get started…

I have an old white industries freewheel with two cogs on my SS. I lost the special tool needed to remove it years ago (during a move…). I hope I never need to get that thing off - especially since it was my Cape Cod bike for a decade! :coolstorybrah:

The one I have is OEM, and that bike is at least 15 years old. Probably the smarter move to pay a bike shop to remove it. I don't need that frustration in my life. Probably a bro move to soak it with some penetrating oil, now that I'm thinking about it.

I need to take an inch out of my exhaust fan stand. The soldering table station is going to be awesome when it's all together.

It's been a strange transition into living in a different state than my kids and wife but at least I have an electronics workshop in my living room now.

Here. Workouts have been seemingly simple to start with, but getting to 7500 steps per day when your office is in the basement is hard. We've started family walks, which is good for everybody.

Hannah's swim instructors have moved beyond and up to coach level. Today they had her pushing to do 50's of all strokes with 5sec rests between directions. There is a competition next weekend and both are pushing her heavily to do it. It feels like she might. We're signing her up for running club, acting and baking classes through school, then peewee soccer through the rec center. Anything to wear her out.

Haley is three days into middle school and has already had the phone number requests from boys start. Oh fun!

I set a budget of $100 for the hot sauce expo and that went out the window. It's fine, I will eat it all eventually, I'm sure. There were a lot of new ones this year and it sounds like it's becoming one to take your sauce to. Lucky me.

So the Rite Aid in town died a few years back because everyone goes to Walgreens or Walmart (I literally went in there once in 7 years) and had been empty since. The new story is a common one but I'm not sure if it's seasonal or will be a legit 365 Halloween store. This is "Halloween Town" but can it support a full time store?
