Cricket flour brownies with crunchy ant topping.
Not bad, slightly missing that rich body a bit, and bit high in purine though apparently for people who are prone to gout. If someone gave one to you without telling you, you really probably wouldn’t notice.

Are vegans that strict? I have no idea of the allergen status of this brownie. I guess the icing is normal...

It generally goes “nothing that comes from anything that has eyes, except potatoes”.
They have eyes but they are different from mammalian eyes. IIRC scientists recon ‘eyes’ have evolved independently at least five times down different paths. Do vegans differentiate, and if not, why not?

I dunno, ask over on a VEGANPRIDE forum, I am sure you will get a decent answer, actually.
But the vegans I know wouldn’t differentiate, if it has ‘eyes’, of whatever kind, they ain’t using/eating it.
