Slightly unusual request for anybody who has decent knowledge of American politics.

Hi there,

I'm a long time reader of RM, but I use the Australian MTB forums (where I live) so I've never felt the need to join up. I have a slightly unusual request however, which I don't expect everyone to like the idea of, but hopefully some of you are up for it.

I frequent a sports website where I get news on football and other mainstream sports. The other day I saw that they had a forum, so I had a flick through it.

Something about these forums really pissed me off - it was this one guy who is constantly running his mouth off about American politics and just talking complete ****, making racist remarks about Obama, etc, etc.

I would like to shut the guy down, but I want to do it right. Unfortunately I don't have enough knowledge about American politics to do it right. So if there is anybody here that wouldn't mind completely shutting down this guy and making some more reasonable statements about American politics, it would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the specific forum where this dude is always talking **** about your politics: http://forum.sportal.com.au/yaf_topics16_Off-Topic.aspx. As you probably worked out, the guy in question is "Sectors back" (also uses multiple alters such as "captain vettori"), and another point I should probably add is that this guy is not American, which pisses me off even more.

You would pretty much have free reign to say whatever you want, as the forum is not moderated strongly. I will also add that this guy wont give up, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to shut him down.

Sorry for the long post and I do realise that alot of you will think this is completely stupid and petty, but I'm just putting it out there for anybody who thinks it could be a bit of fun.

Not worth your time, man.

He's the proverbial dork back in high school who asked non-stop questions in an effort to annoy the teacher. Once he succeeded, he sat back in his chair with a smile, under the belief that he just out-smarted the teacher. These know-it-alls serve little more purpose than to pollute the air, and have no actual intention of learning or contributing to the discussion they are so intent on hijacking.

Be patient, do not let him get you angry, and do not hesitate to call him out on his bs. But most of all, put him on your Ignore List and pretend the douchebag doesn't exist. You'll be better off, trust me.

Edit: and aussiecobber is antisemitic (or at least actually believes that jews control the media)

Yeah, probably the best method. That's the thing though, I'm happy to call him out on his bs, but I don't know enough about the topic to offer an intelligent, alternative view.

I'll just say that the "Do you rekon an Aboriginee will become Prime Minister in our lifetime???? " thread genuinely scared me. Pure racism withough an attempt to even hide it. Crazy stuff.
