One of my tires goes flat over a period of about three days. I have taken the tire off, pumped the tube up and looked for leaks, couldn't find one, examined the inside of the tire carefully, nada.

Could be a bad valve. I don't think there's a repair for that.
If you're determined to find it, put some air in the tube and submerge it in the sink. The bubbles will show you the leak.

A lot of Presta valves leak a little, and pretty much just like that although your may be a little fast. If you do the water test and find nothing, it's the valve. Just check your tires before each ride and dont' fret it.
