Looking for input on the right size shock for my small Giant frame. 80 or 100 mm ??? And if you buy a 100 and it doesn't feel right can it be knocked down to an 80? Thanks for all the help, I have built bikes back in the 80's (BMX) but things have changed so much.

No way to know what the bike is designed for unless we know the model and year (and even then it might be ambiguous). But the difference between 80 and 100 is not that huge; maybe 1 degree of head angle. Going from 80 to 100 will slow down the steering a bit and raise the bars a bit. Usually not a huge difference, but it sometimes depends. What frame are you using?
