Yea I know E.13's website says the smallest chainring that can be run on an LG-1 is a 34t, but has anyone used a 32t without any problems?

32 Will not work without fairly extensive modification to the guide which will most definitely sacrifice the integrity of it.

the problem is more with the lower part of the upper plastic rubbing on the chainring bolts. It does this even on my 34 tooth setup if I run the top slider too low.

    Really?

Maybe I don't have it clocked right, but I'm running an lg-1 with a 32 tooth. Seems to be ok with no rubbing so far...
