Fastest Pro at Blast the Mass was Graves with a 3:42:17 followed closely by Ben Cory with a 3:42:88 so that doesn't really seem like two and ahlaf minutes or whatever....
Lots of super fast off camber turns up top, feeding into some crazy switchbackish stuff, which busts out into the open and fast ski run whatnot that leads you into the woods. A few tight corners give way to some steeps through the trees, including a techy-ish 'drop' through 8 inches of moon dust powder to a wicked right (watch that tree!), a few more turns and then BAM you're out on the ski run again rockin' 40 mph sweepers like it's your job, check it for the danger bridges one then two (I missed the second one at mach 14 last year) then a couple of more turns over flat, fast pedally sections and then a blind right over a crest, cross a dirt road into an annoyingly anti-climactic flat right and then sprint 20 yards to the finish.
its a sweet course. hey neversummer were u at BTM earlier last month? Don't you have a siemens gemini? I saw a few but they all looked quite similar. Anyway im just sticking to my 2.5 UST minions that I ran last time they worked great on the sport course cause Im sure it doesnt get as jacked as the expert pro course. (no moon dust). Yes tubeless are they way to go on that course i think, not much stuff to flat out on and you really want to be able to hook up on those sweepers.
