What a great weekend, for the most part everything went well. Everything was on time and ran smooth.

I saw Sanjay there with a broken collarbone, but as positive as ever. It was very dry and dusty, but I don't know if snowmass has ever not been dry and dusty.

Here is one shot to start things off. I have to get through all the shots tomorrow, now...I sleep!

Shawnee Mac airin' out the parking lot kicker. This was mearly a pile of dirt until Shawnee and Willy Warren had the vision to dig!

Off to work, here is one more to check out.

The hot line through the section above was... well just about anything. some of the fast guys went inside ans some went outside. It was a tough call.

Yeah, it seems that way. Most of the JrX class had minimal padding. Knee only for the most part. One guy ripped through "devils Kitchen" and didn't even have gloves on.

well if you're 15 and can choose between dropping $200 on pads so you can ride around your local trails or spending the same amount to race (which is a lot of money either way) I can see where racing w/o pads comes from. By the time these kids are 22 they'll be sporting pads.

I know I got a shot of you the first day, but the card I was using crapped out. I guess that is what you get for borrowing a card from someone. Anyway I lost about 350 pix and I think you were in there. I will be going through all the digi pix and seperating the keepers from the not so keepers and I will let you know if I find anything.

they own pads. it's not an economic decision...It's a fashion statement

Im 15 and wear full armor when I race. Simple matter of actually feeling safe at high speeds even though Im sure that the impact is gonna get to you no matter what. So I guess I really enjoy not getting scratched up as much and the false sense of security of when I do "big" drops (like 10-13ft) that I'll be alright.

No gloves ic an understand whn it gets muddy (better grip on the bars), but no pads is pretty insane, especially when you own them!

I riode bromont yesterday with no pads at all as i forgot them, i felt so vulnerable it was ridiculous.

Most definately... I will be driving back out to Colorado in a few weeks for some more riding and racing.. I will be stopping at keystone for sure, and probably cruisin over to moab for a few days of XC, then over to Durango for the finals. Will you be in attendance there? Definately say hi if you see me, I always practice/race in jeans, with a black giant, and grey/blue hcor.net jersey. I was looking for you this year at snowmass actually but theres a bunch of photographers all over the place and I had no idea what to look for... Thanks again in advance if you happen to of got a shot of me.

I will be at Durango. I have a large Gray and black bag if I have my telephoto lens on it is white with the MB logo on it. I will look through the pix some more to see if I can come up with a shot.

And... it's a two page spread on the "spline" page - it's like a centerfold  ... only, different. House and Wentz are talent powerhouses - check out the pic and see how close they are... sheesh!

Anyone know when Judd went bullet head?

Anyone else notice the blood on the tree in the pic above this post?
