Three of us made the nine-hour trek there Labor day and Tuesday. We were able to get in a few hours on the freeride side monday afternoon and then hit the expert course after the lift closed.
Thought the lifts were going to remain open after labor day (did I read it in a post somwhere?). Not. The DH side shuttles were running all day, so no problem there, but the freeride side was closed (open on weekends only after labor day).
The MAC staffers offered to get patrol on the freeride side for us and run a pickup shuttle for as long as we wanted to ride!!! We declined, cause my riding buddies are both racing this weekend and wanted to do DH all day. Regardless, that's pretty friggin' cool if you ask me.
RIDE SNOWSHOE!!!
And, since no post is complete without pictures --
