Cross post from Va/Surrounding area -- Looks like my buddy Derrick and I are heading up to Snowshoe sometime this week for an overnighter. Any monkees gonna be there? Lemme know.
Me and some buds from nc are heading up, i think. We are kind on the fence - "is it worth the 6hr drive or not?". Based on the pics iv'e seen, it looks semi-challenging. I think we have much better stuff down here but looking for a change of pace... Anyone been lately?

I got here on Sunday and will be here until Thursday. Is it worth it? Yes. How challenging is it? Fairly advanced. The pics don't do it justice. The FR park is way harder than it looks on the Net. Don't believe me? Ride the "A" and "B" trails and take the hardest lines on the ladders. If you don't think that is bad a$$ then you are lieing. The drops ins in those alone are spooky. Those two drop ins are the only things here to really scare me too.
I have ridden everything here DH and FR wise and I drove 7 hours. Tottally worth it.
My first day I shuttled twice and rode the lifts 33 times. There is nothing like not having to pedal at all for about 25 mins!!!
