He's overrated. Getting older, being injured, having every defensive back gunning to make a play against you because you talk so much trash...it's all catching up to the guy. He's certainly an above average player, but he doesnt command the attention he gets based on his talent. Its just his mouth. It needs some pills in it.

In other news.
Bears dismantle Buffalo 40-7

Dude, why does Drew Bledsoe SUCK SO BAD? Holy crap was the last drive god awful! And don't give me this crap about the "beautiful" throw on the pass interference call. Bledsoe threw the ball into triple coverage.

And the pass was incomplete to boot. But hey, if the goalpost pad could catch, he'd have had a touchdown on the play before the pick.

I'm impressed Bledsoe can get out of his wheelchair every sunday to play.

:p

Anyone notice the "similar threads" window at the bottom is referencing something about "Hullabaloo over Separation of Church & State?" I guess "hullabaloo" doesn't get used enough...that thread is from the beginning of '03!

I'm starting to agree that the Bears are the team to beat. Of course Indiacrapolis sqeaks by undefeated via the softest schedule in football. I can't wait to watch them lose in the playoffs again this year.

Here's what the cowgirls gave up:

5 fumbles, 3 picks, 7 sacks.

Why did they lose? Duh.

Bears are playing phenominally, but I question their staying power. I'd imagine they go one round in and get stopped in the playoffs, upset. It certainly is a different NFL this year.

And now TO is crying, "yeah, it is frustrating. Maybe I need to work harder." No, you need to stop WHINING and play the damn game you attention slut.

They have a fantastic defense. They always say defence wins championships and for the most part the last decade of superbowls has proven it.

Bah.

Every week i make some stupid mistake, or I get nothing out of "big players".

I missed playing Vick 2 weeks, one of which he would have given me the win. This week, Delhomme has a great matchup, and s**t the bed. Same with Gabriel and Colston (been a stud for 3 weeks for me). Stallworth is injured, Vanderjagt was a headcase, Boldin has been less than stellar...

Bah. I predict I'll be 4 and 12 on the season. I suck.

You should've seen it today. With a minute left in the game, Benson fumbled inside the Bears 20 and Buffalo scored, you'd think they lost the game by how the defense reacted. They dont want victories, they want shutouts. I have a real positive feeling at this point...I dont think they'll go undefeated or anything, but they have the talent to win the big one IMO. Finally.

I set my roster this week, went back to check my scores, and the roster I set didnt take, so I got a guy with a BYE starting for me. WTF?
I guess I didnt let the page load or something. AIDS.

Site has been a little weird and glitchy for me lately. Same for you or no?

Dogwonder started 3 BYEs this week.
Yeah, like I said, I set the roster, but it could have been my fault somehow. I could've changed pages without letting the roster fully load or something, but if others are having similar issues, I wouldnt doubt its glitchy.

Some Stats:
From ESPN

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=2617963

• After scoring the final 17 points in last week's rout of the Seahawks, the Bears took a 40-0 lead over the Bills in Sunday's 40-7 victory. It was the second time this season that Chicago scored at least 50 unanswered points. The last three teams to record two such streaks in the same season all went on to win the Super Bowl: the Steelers in 2005, the Ravens in 2000, and the 49ers in 1994.

• The Bears have posted four wins by 25 or more points during their 5-0 start. The only other team in NFL history with four 25-point wins after five games was the 1941 Bears, who were coming off a 73-0 win over the Redskins in the 1940 NFL championship game and went on to win another title in 1941.
