I took my 01' Marin Rocksprings into the shop, i got a new left crank arm and front derailluer, they were installed and purchased altogether for about 60 bux, is that good?, also, now i've been having a problem with the chain skipping when like, you have it in a high gear going down a sweet dh section and all of a sudden you need to power up a hill and your in a high gear, the chain will skip on me and cause me to lose control and have to put my feet down..., is there anyway to fix this?? help!!!

or on that model of rock springs, the suspension is a single pivot. It is possible your shop is adjusting the front der. with no sag on it, causing it to skip when sag is on it. What i do when working on that bike is to take the shock out, and compress the supesnsion half way, and set the drive train up like that.
