... while riding up a steep hill. It was the only cactus in sight too. Lucky i was wearing my hydrapack- as it is, i got about 120 thorns scattered among my lower right arm, right side of my back, and along my lower spine. Sadly, this isn't the first time this happened... the first time i nose dived into a thorn bush. there's still this deep thorn in my palm that i haven't gotten out yet...

Actually yours sounds a lot worse... I only had a handful (luckily not literally).
