im going to st. jean de luz (which is close to spain) in august.... i want to bring my bike, but i dont know how i would do that..... any ideas on fitting a bike in a suitcase? maybe i should give up and just do.... heaven forbid.... family activities! anyone know if there is actually any riding there? i was thinking there should be some crazy urban stuff.

There are mad trails there around the border. I spent a week up there just riding. Of course that was 6 years ago.

Just turn your bars sideways and put some cladding round your main tubes. You don't need an expensive bike bag. Maybe take the pedals off. I'm serious. I've seen lots of people do this. Call your airline. Riding in France is pretty good. It's a pity you arn't going to the Alps.

i bet if i took off my pedals, stem w/bars, and fork. then took the wheels off it would fit, my p.1 isnt that big.... maybe i should do a test run to see if it fits.

Is it August or July that everybody who lives in France(paris)leaves for vacation? I think most of em head south, too. That could be interesting.
