So since pigboy decided to raise a fambly...

...I am trying to figure out a suitable adventure akin to our overnight in the jungle and on the lava on Kilauea a couple of years back. Has to involve bicycles, getting lost and some degree of improvident suffering. Something on the scale of the late great Lemming Run might qualify...

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Perhaps a camping bike trip around PA (with some stops for beer)? Might have to be late July/August so I can pop out this kid (I'm busy with these activities too you know) and get back on my bike seat.

I'd also recommend, if you're in the area, Molas Pass -> Durango. Might want to break that one up into 3 days, though.
Or the hut-to-hut system.

LOL @ CrabJoe..

By the numbers: 36.3miles, 5hr, 55min ride time, 10 hours out (much of it looking at a map). The numbers tell the story- there is some elevation gain to be had, at altitude.

Molas Pass -> Durango: 73 miles
