I'm mostly joking of course.....but still

I just got back from Vancouver. 2 days Whistler and then one on the Shore

Besides the obvious litigious reasons, why can't Seattle get their act together like the BC people did? The Shore started out bootleg, but is now all on the up and up....

I mean Colonnade (if it REALLY exists), is nice and all.....but it hardly compares.

If I had to point fingers, I'd have to blame Downhill Zone.

And you may think I'm being a dick.......but you know I'm right!

(You guys miss me....admit it! Can you believe it's been 5 years already!?)

Suck it.

Because we're too self-absorbed with getting our Starbucks Mocha-chino-whole-lotta-gayness to worry about some rotting wood in the forest. That's what wood does, it rots. Then you have rusty nails (great porn name, btw) out in the forest that endanger the salamander population.

I mean Colonnade (if it REALLY exists), is nice and all.....but it hardly compares.
It exists...in the hearts of MEN!!

If I had to point fingers, I'd have to blame Downhill Zone.
I like pointing fingers. But at chicks. kthxbai.

Meh. Dick. Dickless. Whichever.

And what trails have you built?

I enjoy riding a number of trails that have been built in the last 5 years 30 minutes from Seattle, I dont really see the need to go all the way to the shore to ride trials that get ridin so much the entire trail in armored with rock.

Colonnade and Duthie is a steping stone to getting a mountian to build on. Come help get Duthie built so we can get to the next step. We can use these spots to show that we know how to build trails that are sustainable and minimize risk.

Guys, think of MMike as Steven Colbert from the Colbert Report except far less funny and a bit more douchey. Its tongue in cheek but not very witty. He pops in to reminisce about living in seattle every once in awhile, and then for the good of all climbs back under his rabble rousing rock. It's like a bad fart, just hold your breath and it will pass.

Sadly, this will give him ample ammunition for a multitude of drivel-heavy posts.

No I don;t live in Seattle anymore....

And yes I get a kick out of riling people up....not just you.

But if I'm going to be serious for a moment, you do have to admit that it is too bad that for whatever the reason is, something like the North Shore doesn't exist. It's not like the terrain isn't there. I mean, you get a ticket for riding 38.....and that's a 5 minute run. Meanwhile, Seymour is like an hour long run....and there are trail maps for it.

It does seem somewhat askew, n'est-ce pas?

When was the last time someone got a ticket here? Last time I rode there a cop asked me how the riding was. It's all good to trash the place you left, but then throwing darts in the dark is a good way to put one in your own foot.

The riding is coming around here and sure it's a mix of average legal and above average tolerated, but I've only felt compelled to drive over the border once in a year and a half.

North Shore is played, its all rock armor the whole way down, all the dirt and roots have been blown away, plus there is hardly any flow. There are much better spots to ride then that here and in canada.

I just drove by Exit 38 last Friday at about 6PM and, from the look of things - no one seems to be hiding from teh pokeys, just about the same amount of activity you'd normally see at Tiger Mountain.
