Other then parts of north jersy. Its all flat boring and sandy.
Sandy, what you talking about Willis?

Other than the coast line, which is sandy. No real long climbs buth the ones we have are steep. You will encounter alot of Rocks and Roots. You will also encounter horse crap, since it seems like NJ is the Equestrian capital of the US.

The closest area is The Tourne just up the road 10 min. in Boonton Twp./Mtn. Lakes. About 1.5 hours of riding if you ride EVERYTHING and climb the fire road for a quick view of NYC. Farther up 287 is the whole Ringwood/ Skyline Drive thing. About 25 minutes from Parsipany. Everything from long tech XC to DH practice runs. South of Parsipany is Morristown. Lewis Morris Park is a gem of a town park. It butts up to Jocky Hollow which is where Washington wintered after crossing the Delaware down in Trenton and kickin' some Hessian ass. It offers a couple hours mild to Moderate tech. Rollercoaster some rooty single track and double track. There is also Patriots's Path which is really Mellow single track that actually goes way out toward Chester and the Black River Res. Great for Beginners. Head out Rt. 80 30 minutes and ride Allamuchy. This park is divided into N. and S. sides divided by the Hwy. The riding from Deer Pond Rd. is fast buff single track with some moderate tech. and climbing. The other side over by Cranberry lake is more double track raw trails, but still fun if you have a local guide. Mahlon Dickerson and Waywayanda St. Park have simular typ Mtbing...way less travled then the Tourne, LMP, or the ringwood/ramapoe stuff. Over on Slowclimb there are some mellow MTBers from your new area. They know Mahlon and wayway pretty well...and one of 'em lives in Ringwood. I was born and raised in that part of NJ..North and west of you are great for outdoors...South and east of you are great for culture food music scene..Morristown is a fun little town to party in. GL.
