Is there something wrong with having mismatched brakes?

no its just kinda weird. to have hayes and hopes on the same bike. most people pick one or the other between those two brands.

Seems odd they'd put a 6-pot on the rear, and have a hayes caliper up front, but for all I know, when you're hucking you could use the rear brake more
