I'm bored and this happened on friday night hopefully someone thinks its funny.

One of my friends, we will call him Phil, parents went out of town for the weekend so he decided to have some people over. When I get there things are really weird, with a bunch of stupid drama, the he said she said kinda thing, but more pertinant to the story everyone is smashed. The house is pretty much trashed and I'm thinking to myself this kid is going to get in so much trouble. So like six of us are hanging out in Phils entry way and Phil is being real dumb and like and messing with everyone including this girl, Sara, who is the only other sober person in the house. So i jokingly say, "Phil chill out or I'll punch your face in" or somethign to that extent. Then we just keep talking and goofing around. Then all hell brakes lose. Phil comes down stairs with a gun and i think holy crap im gunna die. Everyone freaks out and then starts saying dude chill out, he was just joking, put it down etc.. Phil just laughs and goes dont worry guys its not loaded. BAM!!! shoots a big hole right through the ceiling, and proceeds to freak the hell out. To make matters worse the front door is open and this all happened right in his entry way. At this point I'm pretty positive the cops are gunna come and looking for a way to get the hell out of there when Sara, who is totally freaking out, turns to me and says, "ok i think its time to go" because as i said before we are the only ones still capable of driving. So we leave and when i get home i call him and tell him that one of my friends is real good with guns and can clean the gun out and put a new bullet in and we can plaster up the wall and it should be ok. Phil is really thankful and like ok i will call you tomorrow. Then half an hour later i get another phone call, "hey dude we got the gun out to look at it and accidentally shot a hole in my parents room". I told them we could fix that hole too, but there was no way i was going back over there.

He never called me so i'm not sure what happened, but i would say its about 50/50 that someone got shot. Needless to say it was a pretty crazy night, and I'm a little more nervous around drunk people these days.

That is someone I would never hang out with again. Someone should tell his parents, and the gun needs to be locked up. Too many people are killed because of idiots like him.

Leave these folks behind. These same losers will follow you for the rest of your life if you let them. If there is one thing I could go back and change in my life it would be giving losers a second/third chance. I have never found it to benefit anyone. Either the loser or I. I always just ended up being with losers. Do you want to be a loser too? Letting the loser face up to his actions is the only way those around him will learn. Losers never learn, they just keep making excuses.....

Funny story.. BUT, think of how it would be if he didn't shoot the wall, but someone else accidently. Or even himself.

You got lucky once, don't play with it again. You can chill with him, just not when he's drunk. Everyone gets stupid when they're drunk.

This New Years I was playing with my friends 9mm. It was funny when I shot it into the ceiling. It was blank shots, so it's all good. Even though they were blank, I didn't point it at anyway. You never know...

Wow... that is so not a situation you need to be in man... I had a friend who thought his dads WWII era pistol wasn't loaded. While showing it off to all some of his friends (I wanst there) he pretened to shoot himself in the head. It was loaded. He was no more.

Yeah ****ed up ****. They were all wasted too. pretty unfortunate. Im glad I wasnt there. Im not saying dont drink and have a fun time. Just make sure you know whats goin on, and who your with. Had it gone off into someone, then the cops would definatley be wanting to talk to you.

What a dummy. What idiot keeps a loaded gun in the house? Why wasn't it locked up? That kid needs a slappin as well as his ignorant(Sp?) parrents. At least you and that girl had enough sense to grt out of there.

What is even worse is the fact that his dad has a gun and the kid has no idea of how to operate it :nope:

the real question here is not about the gun or the hole in the wall. the real pressing issue is did you get any from the girl you left with?

Thanks I think..... I just figured it out recently. Those same losers keep calling, and needing, and losing. I came to the conclusion that I needed to rise above the losers and take my life back. Just when I think I am in the clear.... She calls me again.....

I do hope you got Sara's number.
Just because she was sober doesn't mean she is worth banging or dating!

As far as the drunk idiot playing with the gun, I hope his dad came home, smelled the gunpowder, discovered the half-assed patch jobs and yanked that fools car keys/insurance for 6 months to teach him a lesson. Perhaps an escorted visit to the local morgue afterwards would intill in that punk that death is forever, guns not toys, stupid $hit happens and that only the greatest restraint is keeping dad from kicking his ass to within an inch of having his own slab to lie on! Then, it would be time for him to write personal letters of apology to all those who witnessed and were frightened by his moronic display.

I don't own any guns but I do like them alot. I hate hearing storys like this. guns are not the problem, idiots are. and the lack of good laws.

the kid in the picture below was recently shot in the face with a .38 by some dumb fvck playing with an 'unloaded' gun. fortunitly, he should recover just fine, minus a little hearing loss and a wicked scar. I hate hearing stories like these. as mentioned above, leave these people behind.

yeah im not really a super good friend of his. It was more one of those hey come with me to this party kinda thing. he never called about gettin the stuff fixed, but everyone showed up at school so its all good. I know it could have ended badly but given that no one got hurt it is funny, and the blood was def. pumpin.

all i got was not dying, but i think she has a boyfriend. like i said i didnt really knwo any of these people that well just a high school party. Oh and just talked to another kid that was there after school. he said the bullet through the ceiling ended up bouncing off a piece of wood and ripping up the side of a wall in the guest bedroom. this kid is getting caught for sure. Plaster wouldnt fix taht.

The thought that any one that stupid owns a car is scary. My parents are making me pay for every last cent of a car  And if my dad had found out that I had loaded one of his guns and shot it at a party... well, I would probably be chained to the basement and fed through a tube.

i think the reason kids get like that is their parents dont do anything when they get caught. some kids i used to be in a band with would get cause like three times a month and get grounded for a week. parents are dumb

It may seem like a jackass thing to do, but you shoulod turn him in. It's better if he gets caught in the long run. he needs the crap scared outta him so he doesn't just do the same thing at the next party. At some point someone is going to end up hurt or dead.

I'd like to add my own crazy story-

On the way to work today, I passed two flatbed semis w/ buffer vehicles that were each hauling a doublewide trailer down RTE 15 North of Frederick. As I was just passing on the left the lead wide-load, a huge explosion rang out making me jump even though I had my megawatt bumpin' stereo going and my windows up. The semi lurches a little and a WHEEL AND TIRE come bounding off of it right for my windshield. I swerved out of the way to dodge it, looked in the rearview and saw it bounce right past the car behind me and slam into the highway guardrail. Nobody got hurt and the semi started to pull over, but can I mention that the same damn thing happened to my wife and kids not 6 months ago on RTE 270, resulting in a cracked windshield and shattered front valence on our Vue! I get the sense that somebody is trying to kill us by hurling wheels-n-tires at us like they were shuriken or something!

yesterday on the way back from guitar center a giant mirror flew out of the truck in front of me. did a little swerve action and all was well. The mirror went like thirty feet in the air. People need to learn to use tie-downs

I disagree, the only reason I obey my parents when they punish me is because they are reasonable. If they grounded me for two months I'd be sneaking out after a week.

yeah, my dad has a gun, but we only keep it at our condo in the mountains to use for target practice. it's a .22 rifle. he keeps it locked in a closet, unloaded, bullets locked in another closet, and a barrel/trigger lock on it. i can't say enough times how important gun safety is. no joke. we should have a  for when we're totally serious. like this :totallyserious:
