Man, I can't wait to ride this weekend. Perfect weather, we're hitting peak foliage season in CT, there are few bugs out, and I've got NO plans this weekend other than riding and drinking beer. And Monday is a holiday.

Today couldn't be moving any slower.

then riding Sunday at Ruston, La in preperation for the race there next weekend.

It's raining like hell today but it's supposed to clear up tonight. I'm semi-leading / guiding a casual DH ride for a bunch of folks at a local spot on Sunday. It should be a blast. I hope I haven't bit off more than I can chew.

I am of course. Tomorrow I'm helping to build some new trails. They are supposed to be "freeride oriented and more aggressive". Then we'll ride, and um, yep, Sunday I'll ride too!

I just went to basspro and got an LED light for my camelback in case I get lost riding alone out there. I also got a small first aid kit and a space blanket, since Ill likely be alone and it may be cold. I never get to ride in deep woods, so Im excited.

Rode for about 2 1/2 hours today and have a trail work day on a new trail tomorrow morning. Gonna be sweet to have a 12-15 mile trail 10 minutes away from home. WOOT!

not riding this weekend. i don't think i've actually ridden since labor day weekend. need a chain for the bicycle but i don't want to spend any money since i'm really broke. i think this break from riding will be good for me, i don't know why but lately riding has just felt so stale. i've been trying to find the feeling i got when riding when i first started but to no avail currently. it also could be my lack of a bike that is really designed for the kind of riding i want to do.
