The rest of the Red stuff will be here at the end of the week. 6 Red bikes, 6 Rival bikes. Forks from Edge, Thomson Post and Stem, Easton Wheels and bars.... DA chains.
the current commercially available SRAM chains don't shift as well or have as high a tensile strength as the DA chains. The current proto chains are very close to Shimano performance. We don't have them (yet).
I've noticed this on several customers' bikes i've installed SRAM chains on, especially with the Red cassette. I attended the Park Tool Tech Summit in Philly this year, and should have asked the SRAM tech guy about this.
How was that? I'm still rather pissed that USAC Mechanics Certification was cancelled because of these Summits.
I'm kind of curious as to why you went with Red cassettes over D/A, given the D/A chain. Granted, Red cassettes shift leagues better than 1070 cassettes, but I still hold that Shimano cassettes are tops.

For being the first Summit, I thought it was great. My only real complaint was the Shimano class being a sales pitch for the new Flux Capacitor and less about tearing apart nice stuff on the companies' coin. The other classes, however, were all in-depth and hands on.
I need to get in line for STU, as I was scheduled to go last year but my college finals got in the way.
