In the bad decisions thread, yes? You've both seen the invite for the 26th as long as the weather holds.
I'll double check but I'm 95 percent certain I'm being held against my will in California that week

Good work. Are you feeling any different/better, or just not drunky? So far, nothing.
For me as well. I'm definitely a social drinker. That said, we had dinner with our wine-snob lesbian friends last night and I drank only tonic water and lime, and one lemon soda. So I feel pretty good about that.Good work. Are you feeling any different/better, or just not drunky?
5 days in so far. Definitely feel 'better' with regards to sleeping, which is huge, but also missing the social aspect of my fav brewery. That always has been the main driver of much of my drinking, just being out among the humans.
I went to a brewery yesterday with the wife and only had a soda. You can do it!6 days in. Feel good but really wanted to go out for beers after DH with friends yesterday.
Replace wife with friend and you have my night.I went to a brewery yesterday with the wife and only had a soda.
Just met a south side buddy for da Bears game. At a brewery.I went to a brewery yesterday with the wife and only had a soda. You can do it!
Incompetence != virtueRode up Meadow Mountain yesterday... forgot about the beers I'd packed for post-ride. So currently, I'm about 48 hours booze-free.
Happens. Take a deep breath and try again.I failed, I would like to have a good reason. but I have a personal life I don't want to talk about.
you didn't fail, you just drank. you DID go almost a week without one, so that's probably a win.I failed, I would like to have a good reason. but I have a personal life I don't want to talk about.
really? bleaaah.
I don't mind them if I can't see them.really? bleaaah.

It happens. Frankly I'm stunned I've made it a week. You can get this.I failed, I would like to have a good reason. but I have a personal life I don't want to talk about.
to quote my local favorite brewer/brewery; "your favorite milkshake IPA sucks".
You're gonna drive me to drink with this tom foolery!
Fuck THOSE things.to quote my local favorite brewer/brewery; "your favorite milkshake IPA sucks".
You'd better not tell me you like Milshake IPAs. 'Cause that shouldn't even be a thing.Go drink a Newcastle, old man!
me too. I was drinking quite a bit lately. I still say the hardest thing is the social aspect. I'm really not craving it aside from the 'habit' of going out after a ride or work.It happens. Frankly I'm stunned I've made it a week. You can get this.
TBH, I'm only vaguely aware that a "milkshake IPA" is even a thing. The couple I've had were "meh", at best. Pretty sure it's just the new hipster beer. Which is fine. If I never see another Gose or Sour in my life, it will be too soon. You'd better not tell me you like Milshake IPAs. 'Cause that shouldn't even be a thing.
Agreed on all counts. I shall not abide this type of tomfuckery:TBH, I'm only vaguely aware that a "milkshake IPA" is even a thing. The couple I've had were "meh", at best. I do however QUITE enjoy these new fangled, New England IPA's
Is that what you get if you mix carrot juice with IPA?I also discovered, just now, that there is a category called "smoothie IPA"...
I haz failed due to the siren song of Sierra Nevada. View attachment 137628
