Anyone using their social downtime to learn something new?
I've had an Alvarez acoustic since the late 80's but never got past the "my fingers hurt" stage of learning to play it. A couple of days between practice sessions turned in to weeks and before I knew it, I was only picking the thing up every couple of months to find that my fingers still hurt.
Covid has me finally learning. I quickly realized that the Alvarez dreadnought body was never going to be comfortable for me and I picked up a 000 body Martin. I've been playing everyday since July and am finally starting to sound ok. Kicking myself in the nuts thinking how good I'd be now if I could have just sucked it up in '89.
