it is refered to as a pine lizard or fence lizard due to its pine pattern.

Before I moved, I ran over a few on the Dam loop. Bastards were always in the middle of the trail where you couldn't see them until it was too late.

i used my macro function set on 4x optical zoom. i was still no more than about 12 inches from all of them. they just happened to be very cool with me shooting pics. the lizard was funny cause when i got done shooting photos of him he just kinda walked away. it was a little strange.
