on closer in spection I found them to be a home made set of bars using copper pipe!!!

Yeah It was soldered , and they used way too much and didn't wipe it down afterwards.

Seriously, it's cool to see kids messing with their bikes, in my old neighborhood there was a kid that was on his bike from the time I got home from work 6pm to the time I would take my dog for a walk at night 9 pm everyday religiously and all day Sat. and Sun. I called him the El Salvadorian Lance Armstrong (in lived in Hyattsville, MD).

One day I saw him spray painting stripes on his bike, I had to yell at him though because he was doing it on my neighbors sidewalk. I did the exact same thing when I was 12, and my neighbor yelled at me for getting paint on the side walk.

I really wanted to build the kids a ramp from some scrap wook I had but I was afraid of getting sued.
