end of the year list-making... it's inevitable, right? so here is the first of maybe one or two other ones... a handful or two of excellent songs from some records that made me smile this year. i tried to mainly stick with new records and not reissues, unless the material was previously unreleased (like with Young and Molina; let's just ignore this rule for Dungen ok?).
I am sure i missed loads of great records that i'll find down the road, but if there is an egregious omission that you feel strongly about, pls mention it in the comments as I'm always searching for good music, regardless of the genre.
