the key in those pics is a[erature...most of them are shot in the 1.3-2 second shutter speed range with f-stops running between 9 and 32...remember to close that aperature way down to keep from washing the picture out really bad...
yep thwe tripod is key!!!i also use a center weight on the tripod and most importantly a 10 second timer...set exposure/aperature then prefocus hit the timer and step away...i havent really figured out a formula so much for the f-stop to shutter speed ration but i have gotten it down to 2 or 3 takes to get the one i am most satisfied with.
