I took a few crappy photos on Saturday during a great ride with IAB, Tonyhawk, Douglas, Jozz and Karine and thought I'd post em up for the forum.

It was such a great weekend last weekend with an amazing ride at Nepaug on Saturday and an equally if not more amazing ride on Sunday.

Here are my photos from Saturday's ride. I hope IAB and Jozz will add to this thread when they get a chance.

First up is Air Baboon in full effect! IAB was killing it with the freeride and cross stuntry skills on Saturday.

Next up is Jozz pinnin it on a pretty steep rock n roller - Jozz has great skills on these type of rollers.

Tonyhawk using the Bullit to full advantage on the same roller (different camera angle)

Nope Jozz isn't down from a digger in this photo - he's just positioning himself under a pretty big drop to get some "artsy" photo angles of IAB and Tonyhawk hitting it!

Air Hawk cleared for takeoff - Tonyhawk launching the Bullit to a super smooth landing on a good sized drop.

IAB in the foreground and Jozz handling a tricky little roller with style and grace.

It was really hot that day - but we had a blast! Thanks to Tonyhawk for showing us the goods and the great trails to be ridden within Nepaug. I think we only scratched the surface too.

I regret not getting any photos of IAB nailing a really long log ride - but trust me he nailed it like a pro! I think Jozz has some photos of that one and hopefully he'll post em up when he returns from vacation.

Good times, Good times indeed!:thumb:

Cool pics, Mark!! Thanks for posting them. We finally got our wireless card yesterday, so hopefully I can get my pics up in the next day or two.

Thanks Babs - get yours up bro!

I'd like to get back to Nepaug soon so I can hit some of those other smaller jumps and stuff. Lots of good stuff that matches my ability in there - and plenty that is way over my head but fun to look at and or watch others hit.

Pretty cool how you can ride upside down like that. Talk about super sticky tires!
It's the optional anti-gravity switch on the Bullit.

Hey that little camera thing on IAB's pack, where did he get it? I need one...
Dick Sporting Goods. It's a small accessory CamelBak makes. It's only like $8. The velcro is getting pretty worn though and the camera has come flying out a few times. I have the cord on the camera attached to my CamelBak with another cord in case that happens again, which it did this past Sunday.

where is nepaug in relation to say hartford?

and IAB, have you found any decent riding in the pioneer valley? when i lived there in wilbraham, i hadn't started biking yet, but i've ridden the holyoke range once and that was fun as i recall (and very cold too...below freezing easy. but a good xmas ride nonetheless).

Hey Terry - well what I didn't post were the pics of riders with their heads cut off or pics of just green trees and space when I mis-fired with the camera etc. etc.

I took about 10 more photos but they all sucked - so what you see are the decent ones I was able to take. I missed several shots of IAB going huge unfortunately. :(

Nepaug is in Canton, between Simsbury and Torrington. So, it's about 20 minutes northeast of Hartford.

I have not ventured out to any trails in the greater Springfield area. I don't know anyone out here that rides. I have heard about that Holyoke Range.

Tim - Nepaug is in New Hartford, CT (Canton, CT) - about 40 minutes from Downtown Hartford. You are more than welcome to pay a visit to hit the trails with us. But if you visit you have to bring Ireland photos with you!!

D.A.R. State Forest in the Pioneer Valley has some good trails - did a NEMBA Harpoon Adventure Series ride there earlier this year. Some really top notch NEMBA built bridges in there.

If you have a really small camera - look into the TumbuK 2 ipod cases - they would be perfect for say an Elph sized camera.
