Robyn Hitchcock deserves a ton more words and praise than i'm gonna heap on him in this thread, but let's just say he's taken the best bits of Dylan, Barrett and the Byrds and wrapped 'em up hard in a tangle of surreal lyrics about wriggling aquatic life and general themes about love, life, and men w/ lightbulb heads.
the new outfit he's playing w/ features Peter Buck, and the new record Ole Tarantula is excellent. here's a track which had surfaced on live boots over 3 years ago, and is finally ready for public consumption. it's a great tale which takes one of the best Harry Callahan lines ever.
