when people either hear 'P-Funk', 'Parliament', or 'Funkadelic', they typically think of deep slinky grooves, multi-colored braids, spaceships, and a voracious appetite for mind-altering chemicals. george clinton and co are all these things and more, but they started out a rock band w/ psychedelic tendencies. this was greatly moved forward by the amazing fretwork of Eddie Hazel, certainly a player who deserves a bit more credit.

this is the title track is off the 1973 record _Cosmic Slop_; enjoy

Thank Jah...There are so many better Skynard songs. I love Skynard, but Freebird is the most over played, over hyped over rated song out there!

Ha! That's putting it nicely. When I was living in Pgh a good friend worked for a promoter. Long story short, we accompanied the limo to pick George up at the airport for a gig at Metropol. I couldn't believe the amount of coke thay went up his nose on the ride to the venue.
