last night i went to see Espers...really good show, fairly languid but w/ some great scorching psych gtr leads by greg weeks (formerly featured on SotD) over the two acoustic guitars of meg and er the other woman. and the bowed cello was pretty damn nice too...really a great sound, reminiscent of UK folksters like Incredible String Band, but w/ a loose, jazzy feel via the drummer. i can't say enough good things about this band; they've been a favorite of mine since the 1st record in '03 (or actually when i caught an embryonic version of Espers @ Terrastock in '02). plus, i got a chance to talk w/ greg afterwards and he's a really nice guy to boot.

i would have posted a few pictures, but i didn't even bother trying...the lighting for the club consisted of about 2 x 25W overhead red bulbs and it would have been a ridiculous endeavor. oh well.

i like this one :thumb: . good stereo separation on the mix (through headphones), all sorts of textures and not oppressive :D
