another quick one, as i've got a ton of stuff to do...Wayne Rogers (not the guy from MASH) has been doing his own over-fuzzed/over-the-top fuzz psych guitar thing for about 20 years now, from Crystalized Movements and forming his label Twisted Village, to creating Magic Hour w/ wife Kate and the rhythm section of Galaxie 500 (Damon and Naomi), opening a retail record store along the way (the twisted village store in harvard square is a solid place), and then onto Major Stars

overblown, damaged, heavy psych is the operative word here, and for the newest record they've enlisted a new singer. opinion seems sorta negative, as most people like Wayne's vocals just fine, but i'm ok w/ the new woman @ the mic.

anyway, here's a scorcher from their new Synoptikon record.

how many genres does your mp3 collection have, narlus? mine is distilled down to Classical, Non-classical, Podcasts, Schoolwork (for board review and japanese language stuff in audio format), and videos...

That's hot!

The reverberating psychedelia sent the family pets running for cover. I'd buy it on the premise of paisley clad beer swilling alone. Thanks again for another great song.

too many is the short answer...my tag&rename program assigns some random genres (either via freedb.org or amazon) so i have some i should either change or consolidate

i'd give you a listing but don't feel like typing in 4 pages (via the slimserver web interface) of genres.

heh, "porn groove" is a genre now? anyway, i guess the existence of such a long list is evidence you don't have ocd. funny how that almost sounds like an insult :D
