scream week continues...one of the best frontmen ever, David Yow propelled both Scratch Acid and the Jesus Lizard into the frontal lobes of anyone in the immediate vicinity of where he may have been performing...w/ his latter band, they could do no wrong, at least for the first 3-4 records. tight, spidery guitar lines from duane denison, huge throbbing bass lines from david wm sims, who played his bass like he was wrestling an anaconda, and mac mcneilly was simply of the greatest drummers of any era. but vocalist yow was the catalyst who pulled it all together and made it explode apart. seeing this band for the 1st time was a very edgy experience; there was a real sense of unpredictability and danger in the air. sadly, very little bands can pull that sort of reaction today (the buttholes were another one who could). i miss those guys.

Great track. I had to listen to it twice. Once at regular volume and then again really loud. I love the bass. It really drives the song.
