It's a great time to show your support for a park that's doing it right. They keep the trails fun, and sustainable. We will be working to finish a reroute out on Sawpit. The old trail went straight down the hillside, causing erosion and ruts. The new trail winds back and forth over the ridge-line, allowing better drainage, and a trail that's easier to maintain. Worried that we are taking out a fun section, and giving nothing back? Never fear. We are planning a couple of fun log overs, and a small root jump to keep those who are interested entertained, but we leave plenty of space for those who choose a smoother path. The new alignment should be a better experience for almost every type of user. Everyone is welcome to come out and help. There will be some poison oak at the worksite.
