ok so i got a new 200 gb maxtor drive. i did the "maxblast" program that supposedly turns the new drive into a new boot drive. it didnt work. i tried it several times and it didnt work. now what happens is i boot up my computer like normal with either drive, and i log in, and it loads for a minute then shows my desktop, and nothing else. i hit ctrl+alt+del and task manager shows its working (along with the regular swath of system programs. can someone please help me?

Maybe try system restore back to before you installed the harddrive? Other than that I would have no guesses. try looking around on google. I usually get tons of info by doing that.
