Not tin foil at all. Souter had voted moderate to liberal anyways, despite being nominated by 41. This won't make much of a philosophical shift in the court. But Rush still needs fodder, so expect it.
Souter was an odd duck, but it's hard not to respect his work. A true New Hampshire libertarian and constitutionalist. I'm sorry all the Republican's are butt-hurt they appointed someone with a conscience.
My opinion about Justices was I thought eminently qualified judical minds is all that mattered.
However, after reading the opinions in several cases that matter to me, I realize that most of it comes down to their political and religious views, not some high-falutin understanding of the Constitution.
On that note, here is to the health of Scalia (73), Kennedy (72), and Thomas (man I wish that guy would get anemia).
