My mother learned english in her late 20's when she came here with me (I was rocking a 3 y/o's German vocab at the time). Far as I'm concerned, people can speak whatever the hell they want, but they shouldn't have expectations that everybody is gonna go out of the way to accomodate them.

I have a hard enough time trying to comprehend some of the english that the white and african american population that were born here speak....

I love listening to my relatives talk in PA.

The last time I went home (coal region of central PA) I was thrown off by a clerk at a gas station, her accent was so thick it took me a while to realize what she said. And I used to talk like that.

Hey does anybody know where people from the coal region plant their trees?
