Since this is where the suspension experts hang out -A friend has a 2005 IH Azure and needs a new rear shock as her RockShox Ario is shot as of yesterday. RS doesn't make a rebuild for it anymore, so she's looking for a Fox to replace it with. I know that the IH Sunday needed a specially valved rear shock (even though one is a coil over and the other one is air). If she buys a Float from Fox, is there some special valving to it or will any Float do? Thanks in advance, EC

Usually on the ih dw bikes you want a large air can and low compression tune. I don't think they needed much else.

I think you're thinking of the Yakuza DH bike. The Azure is an XC bike.

The Ario was RS' low end air air shock a while ago. I'm almost sure the Azure used a 163x45 one, or if you prefer Imperial measures, 6.5x1.5.

You can surely find a Fox Float on ebay with those dimensions. Just make sure it has a L compression tune.
