I have an 02 big hit that I need to figure out the best brake hose routing for the rear brake. It sounds like a no brainer but I am getting tired of wasting zip ties. no matter how I route it, it seems like a bad route, It's either to close to the rear tire or it's rubbing the bottom bracket shaft or not enough play to move with the suspension.there is plenty of cable to work with I just can't find the best route. If anyone has a big hit that can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

It's been a long time since I've seen one up close, but you're going to be close to the tire no matter what. Get it as far away as you can then bounce it a bunch and make sure the line can't hit the tire. If it seems like it can never hit the tire and doesn't hit your leg, then that's as good as it gets. Make sure to keep a slack loop under the BB to keep things from binding when the suspension compresses (I guess I'm thinking it's an under the downtube routing).

just loosely ziptie the cable to the outside of your swingarm and down your seatstay. leave it just tight enough on the swingarm to keep it within say an inch or so to allow enough play and crank em tighter everywhere else. this is the setup i have on my raleigh ram and it works great
