specialized demo 08 question

i would like to know the what the highest and lowest atc heights are? curently it has a 2007 66 but i have the posibility to put a fox 36 2010 van should i?

I'm not sure what you are concerned about? That bike was designed to be run with dual-crown forks, ie with higher atc. By putting a single crown fork, you would be lowering the atc. that wouldn't be problematic for the frame, but it will lower your bb and steepen your HA... I would guess that a 36 Van would be lower than a 66.

Saw a guy at a race with one, it actually *looked* cool. I'm guessing you'd lose roughly an inch of a-c height, so maybe a .5 lower bb and 1deg steeper HA. Might be a fun set up in the right situations (like if you live in a more flat/pedally area).

Both forks are good, but the 66 would probably keep stock geometry of the bike.

If you go for it, let us know what you think, I've been curious about this set up of my demo in the past.

assuming the 66 is a 180mm version and the 36 is 160mm......the ATC is pretty close on those 2 forks. The 66 is only about 10mm's higher despite the 20mm travel difference due to the 66's flat crown. Should work fine.
