Hi, I wanna replace my bottombracket,
It's a truva gigapipe isis dh 128mm

Anyone knows what my options are? external BB?
What cranks fit on the isis gigapipe bottombracket???
I want a raceface diabolous...

You can use any ISIS compatible crankset. If you want RaceFace Diablous cranks, they are now only available as 2-peice X-Type (external bearings) cranks. If you got them, they come with the BB, and yes it would work on your Demo 8. Just make sure you order them with the right BB shell. I'm fairly certain the Demo 8 runs 128mm spindle length with an 83mm shell width. But any BB you can get in a 83x128 will work, and then any crank that will work with the BB you choose will work. External BB's will work as long as you get the right size. Do double check the shell width though I may be wrong about the 83mm.

Both the Demo 8 and 9 have the following BB requirements.

BB shell: 73mm
BB Spindle: 128mm (alternative 118mm w/smaller rings)

I have a demo 9 and have been wondering what my options are for an external BB crank setup.

DownCycles_Stef, you quote the incorrect BB width in your post, but are you basing the statement that external 83mm BB cranks will fit on experience. Perhaps the axle length is compatiable, but the BB width isn't.

The problem is that I see is that the BB will be too wide, but if you use a 73mm BB, with the cranks that come with that, the cranks will be too narrow.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

hey Nemesis, sorry I can't offer much help. I'm having a hard time figuring out this stuff myself.

question for you, are you replacing the stock Truvativ Holzfeller crankset? if so, I'd like to buy it from you. I need a new left side crank arm ASAP. please let me know.
