If you want to fit a 26" into a big hit, without running a 1.5" tyre, then you'll either need to buy some of the BETD 26" stays for it or adapt the old rear end.

I think that the old end can be fitted, a friend of mine is in the process of fitting a 2000 palmer replica rear end to a 2003 front end - should give about 10" travel and a 26" wheel!

Yes I pulled it off, it works good. But theres a sacrifice. The front der housing stop has to go, buzz that off to get clearance. I'd reccomend getting the BETD kit, since that will keep the wheelbase more reasonable 47" and no dremel to frame:eek:

I have an 02 frame and just got my son his 03 about a month ago. The new link makes the new frame feel much plusher than my 02. Also, the tendency of the 02 to blow through the last part of compression is gone on the 03. I could see maybe wanting a 26 on the 02 but not on the 03. The rear is so much smoother on chop, roots, and sharp edge holes it feels like an 02 should with a 26. The 24 is not an issue on the 03. Now if I could just recover from the 2 grand to replace my car's transmission:mad: I could finish paying for my 03. Until then I am having bike envy and having a difficult time not sneaking out on Evil Jr.'s new ride. :sneaky:  :eviltongu Maybe if just before the next ride I declare your grounded I can justify taking it. Hey Jr. come here....... haha it's mine, hope the boss lady don't find out..........oh **** here she comes now..... :nope:
