not everyone has an LBS that is a specialized dealer. If the dealers have a hard time meeting the demands why does Spesh think they cant meet the demands via direct, The math doesn't add up to me.

Let me rephrase, I'm considering what lightweight 120mm forked XC bike I might purchase in order for it to propel me forwards on some long races I'm considering.

XCO is shorter (2hrs ish) multi lap XC racing to Olympic format (O)How the fuck is that different than XC?
Ahh, so an endurance race. Seems like we already had a term for that...You forgot XCE!
To be fair, the marathons are a fairly different kettle of fish to the XCOs. They're usually point to point, or massive loops, sometimes multiple days in a row - not just multiple laps of the same short circuit. Without frequent feed zones and stuff you need a bike that is comfortable for longer and can carry more water/snacks.
But marathons are 26mi/42Km?XCO is shorter (2hrs ish) multi lap XC racing to Olympic format (O)
XCM is 60-160km XC racing - ie. marathon length (M)
Here. Previous to Derp long XC races used to be called Endurance mtb or "Enduro" for short.
What are you, a homophonophobe, or a homophophiliac? It's one thing having to turn a blind eye to your lax spelling and pronunciation of our language, but we really shouldn't have to continually explain that many of our words have multiple meanings.
