Specialized essentially claims that Mountain Cycle's Stumptown cyclocross bike is a threat to the Specialized Stumpjumper XC bike's trademark and market share.

I am perplexed. How many people would really confuse a cyclocross bike with an XC bike when they got to the bike store? Because that's the basis for the Specialized argument.

"Stump Town" is historic and has been around a little longer than the stump jumper , I am sure the name has nothing to do with specilized. Sounds like the big corportion is just trying to pick on companys that dont have an army of lawyers like they do. I wonder if they even get the stump town refrance to history of Portland.
