Spindle length for 50mm chainline?

Helping a friend build up a new Cove Stiffiee

It has a 68mm BB and needs a 50mm chainline. Do I just add up the two values to get the proper BB spindle length (so in this case a 118mm)?

Depends on the crankset. Different models need different spindle lengths.
