hey all,

In Spokane for a few weeks and have this Sunday/Monday and following weekend to amuse myself. Thinking of renting a bike and hitting a local trail. I have zero equipment with me, alas...shoes, pedals, helmet, nothin'.

Any recommendations on trails and rental places? Have access to a rental car in which I could transport a bike, thankfully. Looking to ride technical single track, but nothing crazy...figuring I will be renting a hard tail, but hell, will consider FS if warranted.

Thing is Eastern WA is coming out of a late winter. I don't know how much trail is snow free up in Spokane. Beacon Hill has the best trails but theyre probably snowy. While the bluffs on South Hill may be a better bet, I wouldn't call them technical. Over in Coeur D'Alene there's some trails too but they may be in bad shape yet. If your willing to drive 3 hrs each way, there's some technical snow free trail in Yakima.

Hm, I think it may all end up too complicated for me, then. Don't really have clothes for too much cold outdoors stuff either...

Thanks dude-we hiked on snowshoe trails on Mt Spokane today and had a blast. I will just go with the wintery flow and do some skiing during any off-time. Have never done Nordic and will probably give that a try!

Sounds like a good plan! Its crazy how late Spring is this year. Hit up Baby Burrito Bar downtown for Nachos or Burrito bowls...
