Anybody know off hand what size spoke wrench for standard 14ga spokes. I want to order a nice wrench but they are listed as 3.2,3.3 and 3.5mm as opposed to gauge.

I ended up keeping it simple, a few years ago I bought a Park spoke tool: looks like a triangle with the three different sizes at each corner.

Do you know what kind of nipples you have? The DT and Wheelsmith nipples I have dealt with use a black Park SW-0 (0.127") which according to my calculations works out to 3.2258mm. The next biggest Park (SW-1 green) works out to 3.302mm.

The SW-0 is sized for 3.22mm (0.127") nipples and fits Wheelsmith®, Marwi® and DT®, Edco® as well as other brands of nipples.

Park Tool spoke wrench sizes include:

SW-0 (Black handle) 3.22mm /80 ga./.127 nipple
SW-1 (Green handle) 3.3mm /80 ga./.130 nipple
SW-2 (Red handle) 3.45mm /80 ga./.136 nipple
SW-3 (Blue handle) 3.96mm /105 ga./.156 nipple

I've always just used the green for DT.

to add to wumpus' comment, red will often be used on cheap wheelsets.

and that wrench he posted is bling bling for spoke wrenches. i prefer the cheaper black and red Parks for now. i tend to lose spoke wrenches often.

--edit--

the wheels on our TX4000 bikes had non-uniform nipples. some were black, others were red. that was very annoying. the spare wheels we bought from a distributor needed the red wrench.
