How much can springs fatigue and how long does it take for it to happen?
My 00' Z1 CR always felt a little soft to me (I just got it last fall and didn't get too many chances to ride it), then I realized I blew the compression cartridge. So now it's rebuilt with ECC and the old rebound damper, fresh oil at ~50mm, and the original springs (it came with 5" red springs that year) and I still just blow right through the travel, just bouncing around on the sidewalk. What's going on? I'm only 160lbs. It doesn't feel progressive at all.
Do I need to go to X-Heavy? According to zoke I should be using medium... Were the 00 red/heavy springs different than the 01/02 springs?
