ok.. ive looked all over and cant find a chart that will tell me a spring rate for my weight...

such a thing must exist... please hook me up

im a heavier rider... going to be getting a Scream frame...

trying to decide what shock and spring will best match my big ass

any suggestions would be much appreciated

ive sent Progressive an email about their 600 and 650 springs for a 2.25 shock, but i was wondering what teh monkeys had to say

does anyone know how the 5th differs from the Vanilla (or like) ... max spring from a 5th is 650... but the vanilla goes up to like 800 ? (maybe more?)

any shock pros around ?

the 5th has an air chamber to make up for the softer spring rates they recomend on their forks making it very, very tuneable with pressure, volume, compression, rebound, preload(short explanation), as with most new shocks actually. i am sure 5th element has tons of info about this on there site.
also asking this in the dh forum will get tons more responses most more knowledgable than me.
